Dr. Joel Jebb is head of the Department of English at the United States Military Academy Preparatory School's (USMAPS). He has taught in USMAPS English since 2010 and led the department since 2014. 

He was born in Miami, Florida, and later moved to Sarasota, Florida. He graduated from the United States Military Academy (USMA) in 1982 as an armor officer and spent the second half of his Army career teaching in USMA's Department of English & World Languages.

Dr. Jebb has a master's degree from Duke University in philosophy and a doctorate in English education from Columbia University. 

His wife, Cindy, is a West Point classmate, and they have three adult children: Ben, Alex, and Olivia.
