John (J.R.) Greene is a senior instructor in the Department of English at the United States Military Academy Preparatory School (USMAPS).
He served in the active Army for 10 years, the last four of which he taught English at USMAPS. Greene returned to USMAPS as a civilian in 2003. In 2015, following deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, he retired as a colonel from the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
