After serving as an infantryman in the 82nd Airborne Division, he attended the United States Military Academy Preparatory School and commissioned from West Point as an Armor officer in 2004. LTC Zdeb's operational service includes assignments in the 3rd Infantry Division, 4th Infantry Division, and NATO Special Operations Component Command – Afghanistan, and his service includes multiple deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, Eastern Europe, and Kuwait.
