Dr. Jon Healy is a lecturer and associate athletic director for the Center for Enhanced Performance at the United States Military Academy (USMA).
His program includes a dedicated staff of academic counselors who provide individual and group advising for cadet-athletes who compete at the NCAA level. Their work focuses on strategies for improving essay organization, strengthening overall academic skills, developing time management, and enhancing test preparation.
Dr. Healy came to USMA in 2014 from the University of Maryland, where he held a similar role after spending three years at the Bratzke Student-Athlete Academic Success Center at Eastern Kentucky University. He is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics and has been a featured presenter at its national convention.
He earned his doctorate in education from Eastern Kentucky University, master's degrees from Georgetown University and Eastern Kentucky University, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Healy is originally from Fairfax, Virginia, and now lives in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York, with his wife, Julie, and their daughter, Bettie.
