COL Jordon Swain directs the West Point Press and associate dean for engagement in the dean's staff at the United States Military Academy (USMA), where he also serves as an associate professor.
He is a career Military Intelligence officer and has over 25 years of organizational leadership experience, having served in various command and staff positions overseas and in the United States during peacetime and war. COL Swain is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College, Command and Staff Services School, Army Airborne School, Army Assault School, and U.S. Navy Dive School.
COL Swain graduated from USMA with honors, holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and earned a doctorate in organizations and management from Yale University.
He has earned a number of awards, including the Legion of Merit and Bronze Star medal. He has published numerous papers and book chapters focused on leadership and leader development and has provided leadership training to various teams and organizations in both the public and private sectors.
