MAJ Joshua Frey is the assistant director of the Center for Molecular Science and an instructor of chemical engineering in the Department of Chemical & Biological Science & Engineering at the United States Military Academy (USMA). He teaches courses in general chemistry.

He previously served as the deputy director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s Nuclear Science and Engineering Research Center in the Department of Physics & Nuclear Engineering at USMA, where he advised independent research supporting the nuclear enterprise and coordinated Advanced Individual Academic Development (AIAD) experiences for cadets and midshipmen from the Department of Defense service academies and service ROTC programs.

He is the secretary of the Mid-Hudson Local Section of the American Chemical Society. He is a member of the Scholarship and Award Selection Committees of the American Nuclear Society and the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society.
