MAJ Joshua Petrovic

MAJ Joshua Petrovic is a Medical Service Corps officer and instructor in the Department of Systems Engineering at the United States Military Academy. He also serves as the academic counselor for the department’s Systems and Decision Sciences program and as the Officer in Charge of the West Point Parachute Team.

Prior to attending West Point, MAJ Petrovic enlisted in the Army in 2009 and served with the 8th Special Troops Battalion at Fort Shafter, Hawaii. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Systems Design and Management and commissioned into the Medical Service Corps as a 67J Aeromedical Evacuation Officer. He later earned a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

After commissioning, MAJ Petrovic completed Initial Entry Rotary Wing training and qualified as a UH-60 pilot. He was subsequently assigned to 2nd Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, at Fort Hood, Texas, where he served as a section leader and platoon leader. He later served as executive assistant to the Deputy Commanding General of U.S. Army Medical Command at Joint Base San Antonio. Before returning to West Point, MAJ Petrovic served as the MEDEVAC Team Chief and Observer Coach/Trainer with the 166th Aviation Brigade at Fort Hood.

Petrovic has two golden retrievers, Cooper and Maisel.
