CPT(P) Kelsey Jang is an instructor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences & Leadership at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.

A native of Seattle, Washington, she graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and commissioned as an engineer officer.

CPT Jang’s previous assignments include service as a Sapper Platoon Leader with the 541st Sapper Company, 19th Engineer Battalion at Fort Knox, Kentucky; Operations Officer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District supporting emergency operations and hurricane response efforts; project manager with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Tel Aviv, Israel; Battalion S4 with the 249th Engineer Battalion (Prime Power); and Company Commander of Bravo Company, 249th Engineer Battalion (Prime Power), leading Soldiers in support of combatant commanders, joint task forces, and FEMA disaster response operations worldwide.

She received a Master of Engineering degree in Engineering Management from the University of Louisville and a Master of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in Human Factors from North Carolina State University. 

She is married to her wife, Katey, and they live at West Point with their dog, Bennie. Outside the classroom, CPT Jang enjoys trips to Costco, too much sriracha, CrossFit, traveling, and cheering on Seattle and Army sports.
