MAJ Kevin Zander is an instructor in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at the United States Military Academy (USMA). He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from USMA in 2014 and was commissioned as a Medical Service Corps officer.
Following graduation, he completed Initial Entry Rotary Wing training at Fort Rucker, Alabama, earning qualifications in the H‑60A/L and H‑60M Black Hawk helicopters. MAJ Zander completed operational assignments at Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea, and Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he served in leadership positions including MEDEVAC section leader, MEDEVAC platoon leader and company commander.
In 2023, he earned a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a concentration in aerodynamics and flight dynamics.
