MAJ Kristina Fauser is an instructor and sports dietitian for the Department of Physical Education at the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York. She is from Keller, Texas. She commissioned as a second lieutenant following her undergraduate education into the Army/Baylor University Graduate Program in Nutrition at Joint Base San Antonio.

After completing the Army Medical Department Basic Officer Leaders Course, a master’s degree, a dietetic internship, and successfully passing the national Registered Dietitian Exam, MAJ Fauser began her first assignment as a registered dietitian (65C, Medical Specialist Corps) at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia.

She then spent two years overseas as an outpatient dietitian at Brian Allgood Army Community Hospital, Yongsan, South Korea. Following her assignment in South Korea, MAJ Fauser attended the Army Medical Department Captains Career Course en route to her first operational assignment at Fort Drum, New York. She served as one of the first embedded performance dietitians with the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, as part of the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) pilot. She later transferred to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team once H2F progressed to full staffing.

She went on to be selected for the Army Sports Nutrition Fellowship with the Army West Point Athletic Association. Following the fellowship, MAJ Fauser was assigned to USMA, where she assumed duties in the Department of Physical Education.
