Kyle Wilson is in his first season as head basketball coach for the United States Military Academy Preparatory School (USMAPS).
Originally from Mission Viejo, California, he attended Trabuco Hills High School. He then went on to play college basketball at the United States Military Academy (USMA), where he became the fourth player in program history to score 2,000 career points.
After graduating in May 2016, Coach Wilson served eight months as the athletic intern for the USMAPS basketball team under Nicholas Thorsen. He spent the following four years as a field artillery officer within 1-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team at Fort Lewis, Washington.
Coach Wilson spent his final six months of active-duty time utilizing the Army’s Career Skills Program to gain coaching experience as an intern with the West Point basketball coaching staff. Following the internship, he was named head coach of the USMAPS basketball team in August 2021.
Coach Wilson currently resides in Fishkill, New York, with his wife, Erin, and puppy, Jasper.
