LTC Lauren Koban is an assistant professor in the Department of Geography & Earth Sciences at the United States Military Academy.

She is a logistics officer with experience in both operational and institutional units. Her most recent operational experience was as the support operations officer in the Group Support Battalion of 1st Capabilities Integration Group (Airborne). She also deployed to Iraq as a Joint Task Force executive officer within the U.S. Special Operations Command.

Earlier in her career, LTC Koban deployed with the 101st Airborne Division as a platoon leader, company executive officer, and battalion S1 and S4.

Her graduate research focused on the utility of invasive clams as biomonitors for chemical contamination in water and sediment.
