Dr. Li-Hsing Lillian Ho is an assistant professor in the Department of English and World Languages at the United States Military Academy. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Chinese literature from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan.

Her previous research includes Enlightenment discourses in late Qing magazines and the impact of translation and bilingual writing on the modernization of the Chinese language. She has also used digital humanities methods to examine the dual influence of the May Fourth Language Revolution and Soviet revolutionary language on the development of modern Chinese.

Her recent work uses sociolinguistic and social semiotic approaches to explore the evolution of the modern Chinese language and the relationship between language, propaganda and civil society.
