CPT Matthew Gleason is an instructor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the United States Military Academy (USMA).
He graduated from USMA in 2018 and was commissioned as an engineer officer. His first assignment was with the 307th Engineer Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he served as a platoon leader and company executive officer.
Following graduation from the Engineer Captains Career Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, CPT Gleason served as a company commander and operations officer for the 3rd battalion, 39th Infantry Regiment at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
CPT Gleason holds a bachelor's degree in mathematical sciences from USMA and a master's degree in operations research from North Carolina State University.
