MAJ Matthew Revels serves several roles in the Department of Military Instruction at the United States Military Academy (USMA), including instructor, course director, and department academic counselor.
The Charlotte, North Carolina, native graduated from USMA in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in defense and strategic studies and commissioned as an armor officer. MAJ Revels served in a variety of positions from platoon leader to company commander at Fort Carson, Colorado, and Fort Hood, Texas.
Before attending graduate school, Revels served as an observer, coach and trainer at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California. In 2023, he graduated from Georgetown University’s Security Studies Program, concentrating in U.S. national security policy.
Revels and his wife, Jacky, a native of Houston, Texas, have a daughter, Sofia.
