CPT Matthew Strack is an instructor and academic counselor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the United States Military Academy (USMA).
He grew up in Champaign, Illinois, and graduated from USMA in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in operations research. He earned a master’s degree in operations research at North Carolina State University in 2023.
CPT Strack was commissioned as a Field Artillery officer. His first duty was at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he served in 1-320th Field Artillery Regiment as fire direction officer and battery executive officer, and deployed as fire support officer in 1-75 Cavalry Regiment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq.
He is married to his amazing spouse, Laura Strack.
