MAJ Meghan Oroho is an instructor with the Department of Behavioral Sciences & Leadership (BSL) at the United States Military Academy (USMA).
The Clearwater, Florida, native graduated from USMA in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in international and comparative legal studies and was commissioned as a military intelligence second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Oroho completed her MBA studies at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in 2023 with a concentration in strategy.
Assigned to Fort Liberty and the 82nd Airborne Division, Oroho first served as an assistant S-2 in the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team. While with the 2nd Brigade, she also held leadership roles as the information collection platoon leader and the brigade intelligence support element officer in charge in the 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment. She deployed with the 2nd Brigade in support of Operation Inherent Resolve in 2017 as the brigade collection manager.
In Hawaii, Oroho served as the 500th Military Intelligence Brigade assistant brigade operations officer and company commander of Alpha Company, 205th Military Intelligence Battalion, providing direct single-source analytical intelligence support to the U.S. Army Pacific G-2. Her military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Army Achievement Medal. She is a graduate of Airborne School, Air Assault School, the Information Collection Planners Course and the Army Space Cadre Basic Course.
Oroho and her husband, James, met while they were both second lieutenants at Fort Liberty. They enjoy spending time outdoors and traveling with their children and their dog, Thor.
