MAJ Michael Prokos is the assistant dean for resources and an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. He is also a member of the dean's staff.
He earned a master's degree in operations research from George Mason University and holds a master's in education and a bachelor's degree in mathematics education from the University of New Hampshire. Prokos’s research interests focus on the processes of concept acquisition, the impact of varied teaching methods and the effectiveness of technology in the classroom to improve student motivation.
He has served in a variety of tactical and operational assignments as an active-duty logistics officer, most recently as the deputy materiel management chief in the 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command in Daegu, South Korea.
