COL Michael F. Kloepper is a 1997 graduate of the United States Military Academy, a 2015 graduate of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a 2021 distinguished graduate of the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He is an infantry officer, Ranger qualified, and a master parachutist.
COL Kloepper’s formative assignments include commander, Company B, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry (Airborne); commander, Company A, 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment; operations officer, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment; commander, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry (Airborne) “The Rock”; commander, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment; deputy commander for support, 75th Ranger Regiment; and commander, 173rd Airborne Brigade. He currently serves as the brigade tactical officer for the U.S. Corps of Cadets at West Point, New York.
He has deployed multiple times to Afghanistan and Iraq in a variety of command and staff roles. His awards and decorations include the Combat Infantryman Badge, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with Valor, and Purple Heart.
COL Kloepper is an avid outdoorsman and fitness enthusiast.
