COL Mike Kovacevic is the Director of Strategic Plans and Assessments (G-5) for the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.
He was commissioned as an infantry officer from USMA in 1997. He has served in a variety of infantry and special operations units with multiple staff and leadership positions including brigade command of 2 BCT, 101st ABN Division (Air Assault) and 3rd Security Force Assistance Brigade.
COL Kovacevic served in strategic assignments at the Pentagon on the Joint Staff in the J-35 Joint Operations Directorate – CENTCOM (JOD-CENT) and as the Executive Officer to the Director of the Army Staff. He holds a master’s in Security Studies from Kansas State University, a master’s in National Resource Strategy from the Eisenhower School, National Defense University, and is a MIT Seminar XXI Fellow.
