COL Michael Rosol is the International Affairs program director and assistant professor in the Department of Social Sciences at United States Military Academy (USMA).
He has served as an active-duty Army officer in various tactical, strategic and educational positions since 2001. He was an armor and cavalry officer and Army strategist in the 1st Cavalry Division, the 82nd Airborne Division, USMA, XVIII Airborne Corps, and Joint Task Force-North, with four deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
COL Rosol holds a Bachelor of Science from USMA and a Master of Arts and doctorate from the University of Chicago. His research interests include international order, the politics of military adaptation and change, and the military’s role in national security policy planning.
