CPT Polina Washington is an instructor in the Department of English & World Languages at the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York.

She commissioned as a finance officer in the U.S. Army after graduating from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2016. At the 24th Financial Management Support Unit (FMSU) at Fort Stewart, Georgia, she served as the FMSU executive officer and commercial vendor services officer in charge, where she processed $1 billion in invoices supporting U.S. Central Command operations. Washington later served as S8 (resource manager) for the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team at Fort Cavazos, Texas, overseeing a $175 million annual budget.

Washington holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Richmond School of Law, a master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and dual bachelor's degrees in Russian/Soviet Studies and psychology from the University of California, San Diego.

Fluent in Russian and proficient in Ukrainian and French, she is passionate about second-language acquisition and pedagogy.
