Professor Robert M. S. McDonald is a professor of history in the Department of History & War Studies at the United States Military Academy (USMA), where he has taught since 1998.
A graduate of the University of Virginia, the University of Oxford and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, his research and writing focus on the American Revolution and the Early Republic.
Professor McDonald lives with his family in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York.
