MAJ Samir Patel is an instructor teaching PL 300 in the Department of Behavioral Sciences & Leadership at the United States Military Academy (USMA). 

He graduated from USMA in 2008 and served in Iraq and Afghanistan as a cavalry officer. He is an individual mobilization augmentee (IMA) with the U.S. Army Reserve.

In his civilian career, MAJ Patel owns and operates his own investment fund, which has about $100 million in assets under management. 

He enjoys world travel and biographies. His personal heroes include Charlie Munger, Felix Dennis, George S. Patton, and George C. Marshall.
