LTC Scott Harris is an instructor and executive officer in the Department of English & World Languages at the United States Military Academy (USMA).
He graduated from USMA with a bachelor's degree in Arabic. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Infantry branch in 2007.
LTC Harris served with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. He was selected as a psychological operations officer in 2012, serving with Special Operations Command-Forward in Yemen and as a planner at the State Department headquarters.
In spring 2015, he was selected as a foreign area officer, serving in Muscat, Oman, and at Central Command headquarters in Tampa, Florida. He holds a master’s degree in international policy and practice from George Washington University (2020).
He lives at West Point with his wife, Conchita, a labor and delivery nurse, and their children Gabriel, Mariam and Margaret.
