LTC Scott Harris is an instructor and executive officer in the Department of English & World Languages at the United States Military Academy (USMA).

He graduated from USMA with a bachelor's degree in Arabic. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Infantry branch in 2007. Harris served with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. He was selected as a psychological operations officer in 2012, serving with Special Operations Command-Forward in Yemen and as a planner at the State Department headquarters.

In spring 2015, he was selected as a foreign area officer, serving in Muscat, Oman, and at Central Command headquarters in Tampa, Florida. He holds a master’s degree in international policy and practice from George Washington University (2020).

Harris lives at West Point with his wife, Conchita, a labor and delivery nurse, and their children Gabriel, Mariam and Margaret.
