Dr. Steve R. Waddell, Ph.D.

Dr. Steve Waddell is a professor of history in the Department of History & War Studies (HWS) at the United States Military Academy, where he also chairs the Academic Affairs Committee.

The Kansas native joined the HWS faculty in 1993. He soon met Sharon, an Army officer, and added Army spouse to his list of titles. 

Dr. Waddell has a lifelong interest in military history and was introduced to wargaming at a young age by his uncle who flew helicopters in Vietnam. He shares that interest with cadets as the officer-in-charge of the Cadet Wargames Club for 30 years.
