COL Steven Chetcuti is an academy professor and Aerospace Engineering director for the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York. He has taught and directed courses in aerodynamics, thermo-fluid systems, engineering mechanics, and design. He performs flight duties in the C-T206H. 

He graduated with honors from USMA in 2002. He was initially commissioned as an aviation officer and is dual-branched in aviation and military intelligence. COL Chetcuti has served in a variety of aviation and military Intelligence units up to include the Intelligence and Security Command Headquarters. He commanded at the company and battalion levels. 

COL Chetcuti served in MAE, then known as the Department of Civil & Mechanical Engineering, from 2010-14 and briefly from 2020-21, before completing his battalion command. He returned as permanent faculty in 2024 following his completion of the U.S. Army War College (Senior Staff College) as a distinguished graduate. 

He is a master Army aviator with over 2,200 flight hours (>1000 combat) in six different Army aircraft.
