Tim Goetz is the Military Movement course director in the Department of Physical Education at the United States Military Academy, where he joined the faculty in 2008. 

He graduated from Springfield College in 2004 with an undergraduate degree in psychology. He enjoyed a distinguished athletic career as a member of the men’s gymnastics team. 

Goetz later returned to Springfield College and earned his master’s degree in athletic counseling. During that time, he served as an assistant coach for the women’s gymnastics team and was named co-assistant coach of the year 2005-2006. After graduation, he went on to coach gymnastics at Airborne Gymnastics in Santa Clara, California. 

He has been coaching gymnastics since he was 12 years old. He was a former camper, counselor, and coach at the International Gymnastics Camp in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Goetz met his wife Emily while coaching there; they have two children and enjoy watching them grow and play sports.
