CPT Vincent N. Kaple is an instructor in the Department of Military Instruction at the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York. 

The Mansfield, Ohio, native commissioned from USMA in 2015. He attended the Air Defense Artillery Basic Officer Leader Course at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, in 2015 before moving to Fort Hood, Texas. In 2016, he deployed with HHB/1-62 ADA Battalion to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, as an executive officer. In 2017, he supported Operation Juniper Cobra in Israel before deploying to Camp Buehring, Kuwait, as a platoon leader with D/1-62 ADA Battalion.

In 2018, Kaple assumed command of C/1-62 ADA Battalion while deployed to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. In 2019, he served as the 1-62 ADA Battalion assistant operations officer. In 2020, he moved to Fort Benning, Georgia, and graduated from the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course. In 2021, he moved to Ansbach, Germany, to serve as the operations officer in 5-4 ADAR.

In 2023, Kaple assumed command of B/5-4 ADAR, during which the battery supported Operation Trident Resolve training Ukrainian soldiers and deployed in support of Operation European Assure, Deter and Reinforce to protect NATO’s eastern flank. During this time, B/5-4 ADAR won the 2023 Knox Award, recognizing it as the best active-duty air defense unit in the Army.

In 2024, he moved to West Point to serve as the Air Defense Artillery Branch representative for the Office of the Chief of Air Defense Artillery.
