MSG Yukiko Murdock enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2005. She attended Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia, where she earned the military occupational specialty of signal support systems specialist (25U).
MSG Murdock’s previous assignments include the 1st Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment at Fort Benning, Georgia; 1st Battalion, 1st Air Defense Artillery in Okinawa, Japan; the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky; the Cyber Center of Excellence at Fort Gordon, Georgia; the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York; the United States Military Academy Preparatory School at West Point, New York; and the Army Cyber Institute at West Point, New York, where she is currently assigned.
Her military education includes the Basic Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Signal Digital Master Gunner Course, COMSEC Inspector Certification, SHARP Course, Pregnancy and Postpartum Physical Training Instructor Course, Common Faculty Development Instructor Course, Local Communications Security Management System Course, Standard COMSEC Security Custodian Course, Management Client Course, and the Army Unit Prevention Leader Course.
MSG Murdock holds an Associate of General Studies and a Bachelor of Science in human resource management from Columbia Southern University. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in human resources. She is the proud mother of 18-year-old twin boys and a 9-year-old son.
