MAJ Grace M. Ryan is an instructor of philosophy at the United States Military Academy (USMA). After graduating from Indiana University-South Bend with a B.A. in psychology, she commissioned as a Military Police Officer through Officer Candidate School in 2013. As an MP, she was a platoon leader in the 463rd Military Police Company, 92d Military Police Battalion. She was then assigned to the U.S. Army Garrison, where she served as a Battle Captain in the Installation Operations Center and an Operations Officer in the Installation Anti-terrorism Office. 

After attending MP Captain’s Career Course, she transferred to the Adjutant General Corps and was assigned to 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3d Infantry Division as the Battalion S1 for the 10th Brigade Engineer Battalion. During this assignment, in 2018, MAJ Ryan deployed to Camp Hovey, South Korea. 

Prior to her assignment at USMA, she worked as the Division Strength Manager for the 3rd Infantry Division. In addition to her B.A., she holds a Master of Arts degree in organizational security management from Webster University and a Master of Arts degree in philosophy from Columbia University.
