LTC Jason Hussey

LTC Jason Hussey graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University in 2005. Comissioned as an infantry officer through R.O.T.C., he served as a mechanized infantry platoon leader and company executive officer in the 1st Cavalry Division, deploying to Baghdad, Iraq in support of OIF 06-08. While at the Maneuver Captain's Career Course, he voluntarily transferred to Functional Area 26A (Network Systems Engineer). His first assignment as an FA26A was to the Office of Military Cooperation in Kuwait where he worked alongside the Kuwait Armed Forces Signal Corps in an advisory role. Claiming an Advanced Civil Schooling opportunity, he earned a M.S. in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado at Boulder. His follow-on assignment after his Masters' degree placed him in the Regional Cyber Center - Europe, leading the operations and networks divisions responible for IT service delivery to Army customers throughout Europe. He next completed his first tour at the United States Military Academy, where he insructed in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department. Before earning his Ph.D. from the Colorado School of Mines in Computer Science, he was assigned to the U.S. Army Cyber School where he served as an Operations Officer in charge of standing up a pilot program designed to showcase and develop cyber developer talent in partnership with the Defense Digital Serivce based out of the Pentagon. LTC Jason Hussey is married to the former Whitney Crum of Round Rock, TX. They have three beautiful children together: a daughter, Emma, and two sons, Henry and Benjamin.
