The American Collegiate Hockey Association finalized its national-tournament schedule on Feb. 24 and West Point learned of its first two opponents in the pool-play format.
The Black Knights, who are the Northeast Region's No. 1 seed, will open against the University of Texas (West's No. 4 seed) on March 14 at the Centene Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Army will then face St. Thomas (Central's No. 3 seed) the following day.
As previously known, the Black Knights will face Liberty University (Southeast's No. 2 seed) on March 16 to conclude pool play. Army and Liberty both advanced directly to nationals as top-two regional seeds while Texas and St. Thomas had to advance through regional play last weekend.
There are four pool-play tournaments, and each pool winner advances to the March 17 semifinals. The national championship game is March 18.
West Point (19-3-3) is making its second trip and second straight to ACHA nationals. The Black Knights were the Northeast's No. 4 seed a year ago and went 1-2.
"The 2025 ACHA national championship has been marked on our calendars since we were eliminated from pool play last March," said West Point captain Anthony Chambers, a senior defenseman. "Last year was our first time qualifying for nationals which was a huge step for the program. This year, we are not going to be satisfied with anything besides a victory on Tuesday, March 18. We take no prisoners."
League honors: Senior center Caleb Kaiser, junior wing Charlie Aronov and junior defenseman Bobby Staring were named to the all-Super East Collegiate Hockey League, and Staring was named SECHL player of the year. Staring, who leads Army with 25 goals and 46 points, is also a strong candidate for Northeast Region player of the year, which Kaiser won last year.
