Captain Stephen Oduro Adjei, originally from Accra, Ghana, and a long-time resident of Worcester, Massachusetts, was commissioned through the Army ROTC program at the University of Dubuque, Iowa, in May 2017. He began his career as a Quartermaster officer, completing the Quartermaster Basic Officer Leadership Course and was assigned to the 66th Forward Support Company, 3-13th Field Artillery Regiment, 75th Field Artillery Brigade at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He served as a Distribution Platoon Leader, deploying to Camp Casey, South Korea, where he excelled in resupplying firing batteries and ensuring logistical readiness during his Korea rotation. His leadership and knowledge made him the battalion’s primary voice at the 1st Infantry Division Sustainment Support Battalion during NTC rotation 20-10. After serving as Platoon Leader, Captain Adjei was promoted to Company Executive Officer for 20 months, where he managed budget, operations, and logistics while working closely with DA Civilians and GS employees. Following his return from Korea, he attended the Logistics Captains Career Course at Fort Lee, Virginia, before joining the 626th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team "Rakkasans," 101st Airborne Division (AASLT), as the Support Operation Plans Officer. He oversaw large-scale logistical movements during a sea emergency deployment readiness exercise, facilitating the transport of over 1,600 pieces of equipment across multiple locations. His exceptional leadership resulted in completing a 72-hour operation in just 36 hours, with zero accidents. Later, Captain Adjei commanded the Golf Forward Support Company in the 1-187th Infantry Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (AASLT). His expertise in logistics was demonstrated during USMA Cadet Summer Training 2022, where his team processed 1,150 TMRs, moved over 43,000 cadets, and handled extensive supplies of food, fuel, and ammunition over four months. Currently, Captain Adjei is appointed to the United States Military Academy's Department of Military Instruction, where he serves in the Accession Division as an MS100 instructor and branch representative for QM, TC, OD, and EOD.
