MAJ Alexander Master is a research scientist at the Army Cyber Institute and an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at the United States Military Academy.
He earned a bachelor's degree in computer and information technology from Purdue University, a master's degree in cybersecurity from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a doctorate in information security from Purdue University.
MAJ Master has served in the U.S. Army as a fire support officer, operations officer, Certified Network Defender manager on a National Cyber Protection Team, company commander, and cyber planner supporting cyberspace operations. He deployed during Operation Resolute Support in Afghanistan.
He is a graduate of the Field Artillery Basic Officer Course, Cyber Operations Officer Course, Cyber Captains Career Course, Air Assault School, Joint Fires Observer Course, Joint Firepower Course and Joint Targeting Course. He has earned more than 10 cybersecurity industry certifications.
His research interests include digital privacy, cybersecurity, computer networking and Internet censorship.
