MAJ Amy Lovas

MAJ Amy Lovas is an instructor in the Department of Mathematics at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.

She commissioned from West Point in 2013 as an aviation officer (15D) specializing in aviation maintenance and is qualified on the AH-64D and AH-64E Apache helicopters.

Lovas’s previous assignments include serving with 7-17 HARS at Fort Hood, Texas, as a reconnaissance platoon leader and later as an assistant S-3 operations officer. She then served as the S-3 operations officer for the 404th Aviation Support Battalion at Fort Carson, Colorado, where she helped deploy the battalion and brigade’s logistics support to Europe in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. She later commanded the maintenance company in 4-4 Attack Battalion at Fort Carson and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Lovas holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the U.S. Military Academy and an M.S. in data analytics engineering from George Mason University.
