CPT Brian Teachout is an instructor in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at the United States Military Academy (USMA).
He graduated from USMA in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, commissioning as a signal officer. He obtained his master’s degree in computer science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
CPT Teachout's first unit was the 16th Sustainment Brigade in Baumholder, Germany, where he served in the Special Troops Battalion operations and supply offices, then as a platoon leader in the 504th Brigade Signal Company. He then moved to the 30th Medical Brigade to be the 421st Medical Battalion S-6.
In 2019, he transferred to Functional Area 26A: Network Systems Engineering and moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, to work as a cyber analyst in the Science and Technology Directorate of the National Ground Intelligence Center.
