MAJ Charles Ouellette is an assistant professor in the Department of Geography & Earth Sciences (GEO) at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. Since 2016, he has taught seven courses at USMA while serving in GEO and the Departments of Chemistry & Biological Science & Engineering.

He is a Michigan native who commissioned as an Engineer officer after graduating from Michigan State University in 2002. He subsequently served in light infantry and combat engineer airborne units at Fort Liberty and in Alaska. MAJ Ouellette has served in combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan. 

He has master's degrees in geological engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and ecology from Cornell University. His current research focus is on fungal bioremediation of antimony contamination on shooting ranges.

MAJ Ouellette is married to his wife, Dana, and they have 10 children. They own a cut-flower farm near Ithaca, New York.
