Dr. Chris Okasaki is an associate professor and academic counselor in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at the United States Military Academy. He has been teaching at West Point long enough that some of his former cadets are now colonels.
Known as Dr. O, he is well known outside of West Point for his work on purely functional data structures.
Internally, he is best known for teaching algorithms and programming languages to generations of computer science majors - and for wearing Hawaiian shirts.
