MAJ Curtis Garner is an instructor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences & Leadership and the West Point Leadership Center at the United States Military Academy (USMA). He also serves as the officer in charge for Omicron Delta Kappa management honor society and the Special Olympics at West Point.

The Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, native received his commission from USMA in 2014, earning his bachelor's degree in management. As a cadet, he competed on the Army wrestling team and was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa. 

From 2015-17, Garner was assigned to 1st Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment (Iron Knights) in 3rd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, where he served as a rifle platoon leader and mortar platoon leader. He deployed in 2015 to Camp Buehring, Kuwait, in support of Operation Spartan Shield, and in 2017 to the European Command Area of Responsibility in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. 

From 2017-19, Garner was assigned to the Regimental Special Troops Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, where he served as a company operations officer, special operations task force chief of operations, and company executive officer. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2018 in support of Operation Resolute Support. From 2019-21, he served in 3rd Brigade Combat Team (Rakkasans), 101st Airborne Division, as a liaison officer and commander of C Troop, 1st Squadron, 33rd Cavalry Regiment. 

Garner graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2023 with a master's degree in finance. His military education includes the Cavalry Leaders Course, U.S. Army Jumpmaster Course, Special Operations Combatives Program (I), Regimental Assessment and Selection Program (II), Maneuver Captains Career Course, U.S. Army Airborne School, U.S. Army Ranger School, Infantry Officer Basic Course, Stryker Leader Course, and Sabalauski Air Assault School. 

His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal with “C” device and bronze oak leaf, the Army Commendation Medal with two bronze oak leaves, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terror Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the NATO Medal, Ranger Tab, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Airborne Badge.
