MAJ Felix D. Camacho

MAJ Felix Camacho is an instructor in the Department of History & War Studies (HWS) American History division at the United States Military Academy. Before joining HWS, he served as battery commander of A-4 ADA (THAAD), Fort Bli, Texas. His deployments and overseas tours include Afghanistan, Kuwait, South Korea, and Qatar.  

He was born in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He earned a bachelor's degree in international relations and conflict management with a minor in leadership from George Mason University in 2016. He earned an M.P.S. in political management in 2019 and an M.A. in history in 2025, both from George Washington University.

MAJ Camacho branched Air Defense Artillery in 2016. His first assignment was as a platoon leader/tactical control officer at Fort Bliss and later in South Korea. He next served as an assistant operations officer and company executive officer for Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 4th Battalion, 3rd U.S Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), Fort Myer, Virginia. 

He attended the Air Defense Captain's Career Course in 2020. His next assignment was with the 32d Army Air and Missile Defense Command, Fort Bliss, and later Qatar, where he served as a DPICC officer in charge, air defense operations officer, and upper-tier air defense artillery fire control officer.
