Dr. Galamo Monkam is a postdoctoral fellow with the Robotics Research Center in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at the United States Military Academy (USMA). He is a multidisciplinary researcher and educator with expertise in cybersecurity, machine learning, and applied mathematics.
Prior to this role, Dr. Monkam completed two years of postdoctoral research at USMA's Army Cyber Institute. He previously served as a mathematics and computer science instructor at Bowie State University and Morgan State University, supporting academic programs and mentoring students in STEM and emerging technologies.
Dr. Monkam holds advanced degrees in applied and computational mathematics and in computer science. He has earned six industry-recognized certifications: CompTIA CASP+, CompTIA Security+, PCAP (Python Certified Associate Programmer), AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty, and AWS Certified Developer - Associate.
