CPT Jeffrey Schwicht is an instructor in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the United States Military Academy.
He is a native of North Pole, Alaska, and graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He commissioned as an engineer second lieutenant in 2017 and then attended the Engineer Basic Officer Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
CPT Schwicht's service positions include platoon leader in 615th Engineer Construction Company, 4th Engineer Battalion, Fort Carson, Colorado; assistant S3, 4th Engineer Battalion, Fort Carson; geospatial technical lead, South Pacific Border District, Phoenix, Arizona; Engineer Basic Officer Leader Course project management instructor, USAES, Fort Leonard Wood; and commander of Charlie Company, 31st Engineer Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood.
His military training includes Combatives Level 1 and 2, Common Faculty Development – Instructor Course, Unit Movement Officer Course, Engineer Basic Officer Course, and the Engineer Captain's Career Course.
CPT Schwicht holds a master's degree in civil engineering from Missouri Science and Technology. Awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), the National Defense Service Ribbon, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Norwegian Foot March Badge (Bronze), and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Silver).
He is married to his wife of nine years, Chaplain Marissa Schwicht, nee Potter (MDiv, Amridge, ’25), with whom he has four children.
