MAJ Joshua Haskins enlisted in the Infantry in 2006 and served in C Company, 2-325 Airborne Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, where he deployed to Iraq from 2007 to 2008. Following that deployment, he was accepted into the United States Military Academy at West Point.

He was commissioned as an infantry officer after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in defense and strategic studies and Arabic. He served as the company executive officer for 3-81 Armor at Fort Benning, Georgia.

Afterward, MAJ Haskins moved to 1-9 Cavalry, where he served as a platoon leader and assistant operations officer. He then transferred to the Information Systems Engineering functional area, serving as the information systems management officer for the 78th Strategic Signal Battalion at Camp Zama, Japan.

After completing his Master of Science in computer science and Master of Applied Data Science Programs, MAJ Haskins became an instructor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the United States Military Academy, where he currently serves.

MAJ Haskins is a graduate of the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course, the Signal Captains Career Course, the Information Systems Engineer Course, Airborne School and Air Assault School.
