CPT Julia Frassetto is a tactical officer with the Battalion Tactical Department at the United States Military Academy Preparatory School (USMAPS) in West Point, New York.

The Daytona Beach, Florida, native graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in air traffic management. In 2015, she earned a master's in business administration while completing her two-year ROTC scholarship.

After commissioning as a second lieutenant in aviation, Frassetto attended the Aviation Basic Officers Leadership Course at Fort Novosel, Alabama, where she qualified as a UH-60M pilot. Upon graduation, she was assigned to the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade in Fort Cavazos, Texas, where she served as an assistant operations officer (AS3) and then platoon leader in D Company, 2-227 General Support Aviation Battalion. In 2017, she deployed to U.S. European Command in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve and served as a platoon leader in A Company, 2-227 GSAB.

In 2020, Frassetto completed the Aviation Captain’s Career Course and was assigned to Fort Bragg, California, where she served as the executive assistant to the brigade commander in the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade before taking command of F Company, 3-82 GSAB.

In 2023, Frassetto was selected to attend the Eisenhower Leadership Development Program at West Point, earning a master’s degree in social organizational psychology from Columbia University. While assigned to USMA, she served one year as a company tactical officer for A Company, 3rd Regiment prior to assignment to USMAPS. 

Her awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Meda, Army Accommodation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
