CPT Justin Dalme is an MX400: Officership instructor with the Simon Center for the Professional-Military Ethic at the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York.

The Tyler, Texas, native enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2009 as a radio and communications security repairer (94E) and served in the 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he held positions as a radio telephone operator and electronic technician team leader. In 2012, he received an appointment to USMA. 

CPT Dalme commissioned in 2016 to a Signal Officer branch detailed to Field Artillery. He first served as a troop fire support officer with Tiger Squadron, 3d Cavalry Regiment at Fort Hood, Texas, and deployed to Kirkuk, Iraq, in 2018 as the squadron fires coordination officer with Steel Squadron. Upon redeployment, he served as the squadron S6 for the Field Artillery Squadron for 12 months. 

Following completing the Signal Captains Career Course in 2020, CPT Dalme returned to Fort Hood to serve with the 11th Corps Signal Brigade. In 2021, he assumed command of Charlie Company, 57th Expeditionary Signal Battalion – Enhanced, and led the unit for 24 months, including a deployment to Guam in support of Defender Pacific. 

CPT Dalme’s military education includes the Field Artillery Basic Officer Leaders Course, Signal Captains Career Course, Airborne School, and Air Assault School. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. 

His awards and decorations include the Soldier’s Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon. 

CPT Dalme married his wife Casi in 2017. They have two children – Noah (6) and Skylee (4) – and reside at West Point.
