CPT (P) Justine Rennekamp is an instructor of HI108 in the Department of History and War Studies at the United States Military Academy (USMA).

A native of Beaverton, Oregon, she graduated from USMA in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in English and commissioned as an Adjutant General officer in the U.S. Army. She later earned a master of arts in global history from the University of South Carolina, where she specialized in twentieth-century Irish history.

CPT (P) Rennekamp began her Army career at Camp Humphreys, South Korea, serving as battalion S-1 for the 3rd Military Intelligence Battalion, 501st Military Intelligence Brigade. In 2017, she was assigned to Fort Jackson, South Carolina, where she served as executive officer of Charlie Company, 369th Adjutant General Battalion, before transitioning to assistant S-3 for the battalion. In 2020, she assumed command of Bravo Company, Allied Forces South Battalion, in Naples, Italy. Following company command, she served as the battalion S-1 and later battalion S-3 for Allied Forces South Battalion.

Her awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (with one Oak Leaf Cluster), and the Army Achievement Medal.

CPT (P) Rennekamp and her wife, Sarah, met while stationed at Fort Jackson. They enjoy following sports, particularly the WNBA and rugby, reading, and traveling with their two dogs, Thor and Murray, and their cat, Asteria.
