LTC Karoline Hood is an assistant professor who leads the Advanced Math Program, including MA153 and MA255, in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the United States Military Academy.
She has held several leadership positions, including serving as a platoon leader deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and a company commander deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. LTC Hood also served in the Seattle District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where she supported a Federal Emergency Management Agency mission in response to the 2014 Oso landslide as an on-ground engineer assisting search and rescue efforts.
LTC Hood also served as a project engineer at Johnson Space Center in the astronaut office and the vehicle integration testing office. She is a licensed professional engineer in Missouri, a Project Management Professional and holds a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification in new construction.
She also holds a private pilot license for fixed-wing single-engine aircraft.
