Kristin Palmieri is an instructor for the Center of Enhanced Performance (CEP) at the United States Military Academy Preparatory School (USMAPS) in West Point. She joined the CEP in 2003, where she teaches the Student Success Seminar and serves as an academic coach.
MS. Palmieri is a licensed mental health counselor with many years of teaching experience. She is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in New York and a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
Her passion for helping others goes beyond her experience and practice. Ms. Palmieri taught for 19 years as a senior adjunct psychology professor at SUNY Westchester Community College. After the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, she joined the U.S. federal government as a special agent and civil aviation security specialist with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), under the Outstanding Scholar Program in Newark, New Jersey. She worked for the FAA from 2002 to 2014.
On several occasions, Ms. Palmieri taught international hazardous materials law at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was an on-the-job trainer for new-hire special agents at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Jamaica, New York.
