MAJ Michael Wright, a native of Dallas, Texas, commissioned as an active-duty Officer with the Signal Corps on 13 December 2013 with the YG-14 cohort. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with cum laude honors in Engineering Technology from Austin Peay State University. He served with the 101st Airborne Division as a Platoon Leader, Company XO and BN S6 while completing rotations to JRTC and NIE. Michael graduated SCCC and reported to the 4th Infantry Division where he deployed in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel as a forward Brigade logistics officer. Michael completed 13 months as a Brigade Signal Company Commander which culminated in a rotation to NTC. He was nominated for a second Company command with the 4th Infantry Division Signal Intelligence and Sustainment Company (SISCO) where he participated in Joint Exercise Talisman Sabre (Australia) and culminated in a Division WFX. He was nominated for a Field Grade Company command as a Signal Advisor with 4th SFAB. MAJ Wright has earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs through ACS and currently serves as an instructor at the United States Military Academy in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and as the Chief of Operations for the CIO G6.
